Easy Beef Stew

Ingredients
  Beef chuck roast 2 Pound
  Fat 1 Teaspoon
  Onions 2 Medium, peeled and quartered
  Carrots 1 Pound
  Canned tomatoes 16 Ounce (1 Can)
  Water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Basil 1 Tablespoon
  Pepper 1 Teaspoon
  Potatoes 5 , peeled and quartered
Directions

Cube beef; saut6 in small amount of fat; slice onions and saute in fat.
Place beef, onions, carrots, tomatoes, basil, pepper and water into large covered pot.
Bring to boil; simmer 2 hours.
Add potatoes the last 45 minutes.
