Simple Cheese Strata

Ingredients
  Stale bread slices 12
  American cheese 1⁄2 Pound
  Milk 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Whole eggs 4
  Paprika 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Fresh pepper 3⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Trim crusts from bread.
Alternate layers of bread and cheese in bottom of greased souffle dish.
Beat eggs slightly, add milk and seasonings.
(A little sugar is optional).
Pour milk and egg mixture over bread and cheese.
Chill thoroughly (10 hours).
Bake at 350 degrees in a shallow pan of water for 45 minutes.
