Ingredients
  Sliced peeled tart cooking apples 6 Cup (96 tbs) (Thinly Sliced And Cored)
  Sugar 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Fine dry bread crumbs 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Heavy cream/Sweetened whipped cream 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), sweetened
Directions

Preheat oven to 350° F.
Mix apples with sugar, lemon juice, and nutmeg to taste and arrange in a buttered 2-quart casserole about 2" deep, scattering small pieces of butter through the apples as you fill the dish.
Top with crumbs, cover, and bake 35-45 minutes until apples are tender; uncover and bake 10 minutes longer to brown crumbs lightly.
Cool about 5 minutes, then serve with cream.
