Ingredients
  Shortening 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Brown sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), firmly packed
  Egg 1
  Molasses 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Sifted flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Soda 2 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Ginger 1 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1
Directions

GETTING READY
1.Preheat the oven to 375degrees.

MAKING
2.Stir brown sugar and shortening until light and creamy.
3.Put an egg and molasses and blend well.
4.Sieve flour, salt and spices together and put in the creamed mixture.
5.Keep the dough in the refrigerator.
6.Once cold, make balls of 1/2 inch and coat with sugar by rolling.
7.Take a baking sheet without grease, put the balls on it at 2 inches distance.
8.Bake for 10- 15 minutes.

SERVING
9.Serve with beverages.
