Hot Cabbage Slaw
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Caraway seeds/Poppy seeds||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Shredded cabbage||1 Quart, chopped|
1)In a small bowl, beat the egg and keep it ready.
2)In a small saucepan, mix sugar, vinegar, salt and the seeds.
3)Pour in the egg and cook over low heat till the mixture is thickened. Stir continually.
4)In a wide salad bowl, place the shredded cabbage.
5)Pour the sauce over the cabbage and toss slightly.
6)Serve cold on salad plates or in bowls.
