Cheese Popovers

Ingredients
  Butter 4 Ounce
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Eggs 2
  Milk 12 Tablespoon
  Cheddar cheese 2 Ounce, grated
  Cayenne pepper 1 Pinch
  Flour 4 Ounce
Directions

Put a knob of butter in the centre of each little tin of a bun tray and place in a hot oven (450°F - Gas Mark 7) for about 5-7 minutes until the butter is thoroughly hot.
To make the batter sieve the flour and salt into a mixing basin.
Beat the eggs well and add the milk to them.
Stir the liquid ingredients into the sieved ingredients and beat well until thoroughly blended.
Pour a scant tablespoon of the batter into each tin.
Put a teaspoon of grated Cheddar cheese and a pinch of cayenne pepper in the centre of each and cover with a tablespoon of batter.
Bake in a very hot oven (475°F - Gas Mark 8) for approximately 15 minutes until well risen, crisp and golden brown.
