Seafood Okra Gumbo
|Chopped green onions and tops||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Chopped celery||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), pressed / finely chopped|
|Frozen okra||10 Ounce, defrosted and sliced (1 Package)|
|Salt||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Crushed thyme||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Whole bay leaf||1|
|Liquid hot pepper sauce||6 Drop|
|Cleaned raw shrimp||1 Pound (Fresh / Frozen)|
|Crab meat||1⁄2 Pound (Fresh / Frozen / Canned)|
|Canned stewed tomatoes||2 Pound (2 Cans Of 1 Pound Each)|
Thaw frozen seafood.
In 3-quart casserole, combine butter, onions, celery, garlic, okra and seasonings.
MICROWAVE 2 to 4 MINUTES on HIGH, or until celery is tender, stir once or twice.
Add shrimp, crab meat and tomatoes.
MICROWAVE 8 to 12 MINUTES on HIGH, or until shrimp is cooked.
Stir once or twice during cooking time.
Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Remove bay leaf.
Serve with rice, if desired.
