Speedy Chile Con Carne
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped green pepper||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Tomato sauce||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Cooked pinto beans||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Garlic salt||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground red chili||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground comino||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground mexican oregano||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
1 Heat oil in a large saucepan, then add the onion, green pepper and beef, and cook until meat is lightly browned.
2 Add tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes. Add pinto beans, garlic salt and salt. Stir in the ground chile, comino and oregano, and simmer for 30 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning.
3 Ladle chile into soup bowls and serve.
