Apple Raisin Brown Betty

Ingredients
  Apples 4 Medium, pared, cored, and sliced
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Raisin bread slices 2
  Margarine 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Layer apples in an 8x8x2-inch nonstick baking pan.
Combine water, cornstarch, and cinnamon in a measuring cup; stir to dissolve cornstarch; pour over apples.
In bowl combine bread crumbs and margarine, mixing with hands until particles are the size of peas.
Sprinkle over apples.
Bake at 350ºF.
for 40 to 45 minutes.
Divide evenly.
Serve warm or cool.
