Choose A Dumpling Beef Stew

Ingredients
  Frozen cut broccoli 8 Ounce (1 Package)
  Beef boneless chuck steak 1 Pound, cut into 3/4 inch cubes
  Onion 1 Medium, cut into thin wedges
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Instant beef bouillon granules 2 Teaspoon
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Bay leaf 1
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Tomato sauce 8 Ounce (1 Can)
  Celery stalks 2 , sliced to make 1 cup
  Carrots 2 Medium, sliced to make 1 cup
  Dijon style mustard 2 Tablespoon
  Worcestershire sauce 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon
  Cold water 2 Tablespoon
  Corn bread dumplings/Cheddar dumplings / herbed dumplings / carrot dumplings 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Thaw broccoli.
Set aside.
In a 2-quart casserole combine beef, onion, water, bouillon granules, garlic, bay leaf, and pepper.
Micro-cook, covered, on 100% power (HIGH) about 8 minutes or till bubbly; stir.
Reduce power to 50% (MEDIUM).
Micro-cook, covered, 20 minutes, stirring once.
Stir in tomato sauce, celery, carrots, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.
Micro-cook, covered, on 100% power (HIGH) 5 minutes; stir.
Reduce power to 50% (MEDIUM).
Micro-cook, covered, 10 minutes, stirring once.
Stir in broccoli.
Micro-cook, covered, on 50% power (MEDIUM) 8 minutes.
Stir together cornstarch and water.
Stir into meat mixture.
Micro-cook, uncovered, on 100% power (HIGH) 2 to 3 minutes or till thickened and bubbly, stirring every minute.
Reduce power to 50% (MEDIUM).
Micro-cook, uncovered, 2 minutes more, stirring every minute.
Remove bay leaf.
Cover and refrigerate for 3 to 24 hours.
Before mealtime, micro-cook beef mixture, covered, on 100% power (HIGH) 7 to 9 minutes or till bubbly, stirring twice.
Prepare dumplings as directed.
