Wrapped American Barbecued Chicken
|Herb oil||1 Teaspoon|
|Whole chicken breast||1 , skinned, boned, halved|
|Savory seasoning||1 Teaspoon (Garden Blend)|
|Barbecue sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Onion||1 Small, julienned|
|Green pepper||1 Small, seeded, julienned|
Pound each chicken piece with meat mallet to 1/2 inch thickness.
Sprinkle Garden Blend over meat.
Combine barbecue sauce and lemon juice in a small bowl; whisk.
Brush over meat; place onions and peppers in center of meat.
Wrap by rolling up and tucking meat around ends to encase onions and peppers.
Secure with wooden picks.
Preheat oil in small frying pan over medium heat.
Add wrapped chicken; fry 5 minutes.
Cover; fry 5 to 8 minutes or until meat is white and tender.
