All American Tofu Sandwiches
|Firm tofu||1 Pound|
|Vegetable oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Garlic powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Whole wheat bread slice||8|
|Prepared mustard/Ketchup||1 Tablespoon|
|Eggless mayonnaise||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sliced tomato||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Alfalfa sprouts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Cut tofu into 1/2-inch thick slices. Let drain on paper towels.
Heat oil in a large skillet. Fry slices over medium-low heat, browning on both sides. Season with tamari and garlic. Drain on paper towels.
