Virginia Sally Lunn Bread
|Eggs||4 , well beaten|
|Melted butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lukewarm milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Yeast||3⁄25 Ounce (1/2 Package)|
|Warm water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sifted flour||5 Cup (80 tbs)|
Mix the eggs, butter, salt, and milk in a bowl.
Dissolve the yeast in warm water, then stir into egg mixture.
Add the sugar and enough flour to make a stiff dough and beat well.
Pour into a greased casserole and let rise for 6 to 7 hours.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
Serve hot with butter.
