Creole Style Salisbury Steak
|Beef top round steak||1 Pound, cut into 4 serving size pieces (About 1/2 Inch Thick)|
|Green pepper rings||4 (1/4 Inch Thick)|
|Onion slices||4 (1/4 Inch Thick)|
|Yellow squash||2 Medium, cut in half lengthwise and sliced to make 2 cups|
|No salt stewed tomatoes||14 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Packed brown sugar||2 Teaspoon|
|Dried thyme leaves||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Celery salt||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Pound beef to 1/4-inch thickness.
Place in 3-quart casserole.
Top with green pepper, onion and squash.
In medium mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
Pour over beef and vegetables.
Microwave at 50% (Medium) for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours, or until beef is tender, turning beef over and basting with sauce after every 30 minutes.
Let stand, covered, for 10 minutes.
