Creole Style Chicken

Ingredients
  Green pepper 1 Medium, chopped to make 3/4 cup
  Onion 1 Medium, chopped
  Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Canned tomatoes 14 1⁄2 Ounce, cut up (1 Can)
  Frozen diced cooked chicken 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Canned tomato paste 3 Ounce (1/2 Of A 6 Ounce Can Or 1/3 Cup)
  Chili powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground red pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Dried thyme 1⁄4 Teaspoon, crushed
  Cracked black pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Hot cooked rice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

In a 2-quart casserole micro-cook pepper, onion, butter or margarine, and garlic, covered, on 100% power (HIGH) 2 to 3 minutes or till onion is tender.
Stir in undrained tomatoes, chicken, tomato paste, chili powder, sugar, ground red pepper, thyme, pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
Cover and refrigerate for 3 to 24 hours.
Before mealtime, micro-cook, covered, on 100% power (HIGH) 7 to 8 minutes or till heated through, stirring twice.
Serve over rice.
