Oven Fried Chicken Maryland

Ingredients
  Young chicken 3 Pound
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
  Dry bread crumbs 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Lard 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

1. Start oven, set at 350" F., or Moderate.
2. Rinse the cleaned and dressed chicken, wipe dry and cut in serving pieces. Season with salt and pepper, roll each piece in the bread crumbs.
3. Heat the butter and lard in a fryer and saute the chicken in it until the pieces are golden brown on all sides.
4. Cover the pan and set it in the oven 30 to 45 minutes, or until the chicken is tender.
