Simple Shrimp Creole

  Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon
  Chopped onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Green pepper 1 Medium, cut into matchstick-thin strips
  Sliced celery 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Spaghetti sauce 1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs) (Prego Al Fresco)
  Medium shrimp 3⁄4 Pound, shelled and deveined
  Bay leaf 1
  Pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Hot pepper sauce To Taste
  Hot cooked rice 1 Cup (16 tbs)

1. In 2-quart microwave-safe casserole, combine butter, onion, green pepper and celery. Cover with lid; microwave on high 4 minutes or until vegetables are tender, stirring once during cooking.
2. Stir in spaghetti sauce, shrimp, bay leaf, pepper and hot pepper sauce. Cover; microwave on high 6 minutes or until most shrimp are opaque, stirring once during cooking. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes or until all shrimp are opaque. Remove bay leaf. Serve over rice.
