Chive Spoon Bread
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||3 Tablespoon, melted|
|White cornmeal||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Eggs||2 , well beaten|
|Chopped chives||2 Tablespoon|
Preheat oven to 350°.
Combine milk and butter in a bowl.
Stir in cornmeal, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
Stir in eggs and chives until well blended.
Pour batter into greased casserole dish and bake 30 to 40 minutes.
Bread is done when a wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean.
Let stand about 5 minutes, then serve at once.
