Soak salmon in water for 4 to 5 hours.
Remove skin and bones and break or cut into pieces.
Peel tomatoes and onion and chop.
Squeeze all ingredients together through the fingers until all are in small pieces and well mixed.
Add several ice cubes and chill thoroughly.
If salt salmon is not available, fresh salmon may be used if soaked overnight in a strong brine, instead of soaking in water.
