|Shortening||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Canned bean sprouts||7 Pound (7 cans, 1 pound each)|
|Finely diced cooked chicken||2 1⁄2 Quart|
|Chicken bouillon cubes||12|
|Hot water||2 1⁄4 Quart|
|Soy sauce||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Cornstarch||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Cold water||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Precooked rice||6 Cup (96 tbs) (packaged)|
|Chow mein noodles||2 Cup (32 tbs) (adjust quantity as needed)|
Cook onion and celery in shortening in large kettle for 10 minutes.
Add bean sprouts and liquid, chicken, and bouillon dissolved in hot water.
Bring to boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add soy sauce.
Stir in cornstarch blended with cold water.
Cook, stirring, until thickened.
Season and serve rice prepared as directed on package, and noodles.
