Cherry Nut Cobbler
|Canned cherry pie filling||21 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Almond extract||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Buttermilk baking mix||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Margarine/Butter||1 Tablespoon, softened|
|Almonds||2 Tablespoon, toasted|
1. Mix pie filling and almond extract in 1 1/2-quart casserole. Microwave uncovered on medium-high (70%) 4 minutes; stir.
2. Mix baking mix, sugar, milk and margarine with fork until soft dough forms; beat vigorously 20 strokes. Stir in almonds. Drop 6 spoonfuls dough in circle on hot cherry mixture. Microwave uncovered on medium-high (70%) until top of dough is almost dry, 4 to 7 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes before serving. Serve with light cream if desired.
