Prosciutto & Fontina Popovers
|All purpose flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Prosciutto/Cooked ham||1 Ounce, chopped|
|Shredded fontina cheese||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Minced green onion||1 Tablespoon|
Heavily butter 4 muffin cups or heavy popover cups (each 2 to 2 1/2 in. wide).
In a blender, smoothly mix egg, flour, and milk.
Stir in the prosciutto, fontina, and green onion.
At once, pour batter equally into buttered cups.
Bake in a 375° oven until popovers are very well browned and firm to touch, about 50 minutes.
Run a knife around edge of each popover to loosen; invert from cups.
