Baked Johnny Cake

Ingredients
  Yellow cornmeal 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (unbleached)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Maple syrup 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Corn oil 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Measure dry ingredients into small bowl and set aside.
Measure the remaining ingredients into a blender and blend well.
Then add cornmeal mixture.
Blend only until mixed, not a second more.
Pour into buttered 8" square pan or muffin tins.
Bake at 450° for 20 min.
