  Ground beef 1 Pound
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
  Hamburger buns 4 , split

1. Place a piece of waxed paper on the counter or table. Put the ground beef on the waxed paper. Use your hands to divide the meat into 4 portions. Shape each portion into a flat, round patty, about 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Put the hamburger patties in the skillet.
2. Put the skillet on a burner. Turn the burner to medium. Cook about 7 minutes or till the patties are brown on the bottom. To check, lift the patties with the pancake turner and peek underneath.
3. With the pancake turner, turn each patty over. Sprinkle the patties with salt and pepper. Cook about 4 minutes or till the bottoms of patties are brown. Turn off the burner. Remove the skillet from the burner.
4. With the pancake turner, lift each patty from the skillet. Put each hamburger in a split bun. Serve with catsup, mustard, lettuce, and pickle slices, if you like.
