|Buttered toast slices||5 , edges trimmed|
|Tart apples||3 Large|
|Orange marmalade||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||To Taste|
|Grated orange rind||1 Teaspoon|
|Grated lemon rind||1 Teaspoon|
Core and slice apples, place in buttered casserole, sprinkle with sugar, and cover with layer of buttered toast.
Place another layer of apples and sugar and sprinkle with lemon and orange grated rind and juice.
The last layer, or toast, is spread with 1/2 of the marmalade.
Bake in a moderate oven 45 minutes.
Make a meringue, heap on pudding, and dot with remainder of the marmalade.
Bake 10 minutes in oven at 300 degrees.
