Crisp Oatmeal Cookies
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Shortening||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Oats||2 3⁄4 Cup (44 tbs), uncooked (Quick-Cooking Or Regular)|
|Nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
|Corn flakes||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||2 Teaspoon|
Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs.
Add flour mixture; blend well.
Blend in oats, nuts, corn flakes and vanilla extract.
Drop by teaspoonful about 1 inch apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.
