All American Cheeseburgers

Ingredients
  Ground beef 7 Pound
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Catsup 2 Teaspoon
  Sharp processed american cheese slices 8 (1/2 Of A 8 Ounce Package)
  Tomato slices 8
  Bermuda onion slices 8
  Green pepper slices 4
  Crisp cooked bacon slices 4
  Split hamburger buns 4 , toasted and buttered
Directions

1. Mix ground beef lightly with salt and pepper; shape into 4 patties about 1-inch thick.
2. Pan-fry over medium heat 8 minutes on each side for medium, or until meat is done as you like it. Brush tops lightly with catsup; cover each burger with a cheese slice. (Heat from meat will melt cheese).
3.Top each with a tomato and onion slice; put together, sandwich style, on buttered buns which have first been topped with one slice each of green pepper, onion, tomato and cheese. Top each cheeseburger with a crisp slice of bacon.
