Good Friday Carair Bread
|Cake compressed yeast/1.5 teaspoons active dry yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar||1⁄2|
|Warm water/Milk and water mixed||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Sifted all purpose flour||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Caraway seeds||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Follow the method for Plain White Bread (Standard Method), adding the 2 tablespoons sugar and caraway seeds to the flour before forming into a dough.
Shape into one large round loaf and brush with milk.
Cover and let rise until doubled in size.
Bake in the center of a moderately hot oven (400°F) for 40-45 minutes.
Cool on a cake rack.
