Tomato Beef Stew
|Cubed beef||1 1⁄2 Pound (1 1/2 Inch)|
|Condensed tomato soup||10 3⁄4 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Whole white onions||6 Small|
|Carrots||6 Small, cut in half|
|Potatoes||3 , quartered|
|Thyme leaves||1⁄4 Teaspoon, crushed|
Brown meat in shortening in large heavy pan.
Add soup and water.
Cover; simmer 1 1/2 hours.
Add remaining ingredients.
Cover; cook 1 hour or until vegetables are tender.
Uncover; cook to desired consistency.
