Cheesy Waldorf Salad
|Mayonnaise/Reduced-fat mayonnaise||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Cider vinegar||1 Tablespoon|
|Apples||4 Small (Or 3 Large Piece)|
|Provolone cheese||4 Ounce|
|Celery ribs||2 , thinly sliced|
|Walnuts/Pecans||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), toasted and chopped, divided|
|Lettuce leaves||4 (Red Leaf)|
Combine mayonnaise, honey and vinegar in large bowl until blended.
Core apples; cut enough into 1/2-inch pieces to equal 4 cups.
Cut cheese into cubes.
Add apples, cheese, celery and 1/4 cup walnuts; stir to coat.
At this point the salad may be refrigerated, covered with plastic wrap, up to 8 hours.
To serve, line individual salad plates with lettuce, then top with salad.
Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup walnuts over each serving.
