Beef Heart Stew

This beef heart stew with carrots, tomatoes and onion and a mixture of herbs adds a dose of nice flavor to the stew that goes great over noodles/steamed rice or mashed potatoes. If you plan to cook something hearty at home you probably should go for this beef heart stew recipe!
Ingredients
  Beef heart 1
  Canned tomatoes 28 Ounce (1 Can)
  Onions 2 Medium, chopped
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Salt 1 Tablespoon
  Basil 1 Teaspoon, crushed
  Thyme leaves 1⁄2 Teaspoon, crushed
  Carrots 3 Medium, sliced
  Celery stalks 3 , sliced
Directions

1. Split heart open. Remove fat and white tubes; wash heart; cut into 1-inch chunks.
2. In 5-quart Dutch oven over high heat, heat heart and next 6 ingredients to boiling. Cover and bake in a 350°F. oven 1 1/2 hours. Add carrots and celery; bake 1 hour longer or until heart is tender.
