Great American Chocolate Chip Cookies
|Butter||1 Cup (16 tbs), softened|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Packed light brown sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs), unsifted|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon|
|Semi-sweet chocolate chips||12 Ounce (2 Cups, 1 Package)|
|Chopped nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy.
Add eggs; beat well.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto un-greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove from cookie sheet; cool completely on wire rack.
