Hawaiian Island Chicken
|Chicken||3 Pound, cut into serving pieces|
|Soy sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Green pepper||1 , cut into chunks|
|Canned mandarin oranges||11 Ounce, drained (Reserve Syrup)|
|Canned pineapple slices||8 1⁄4 Ounce, drained and halved (Reserve Syrup)|
|Canned mandarin oranges||11 Ounce, drained, reserve syrup (1 Can)|
|Canned pineapple slices||8 1⁄4 Ounce, drained, halved, syrup reserved (1 Can)|
Arrange chicken in 12x8-inch dish with meatier portions toward edge of dish.
Brush with soy sauce blended with ginger.
Add green pepper.
Cook, covered with wax paper, at HIGH 13 to 15 minutes; drain.
Let stand, covered, 5 minutes.
In 2-cup glass measure, blend cornstarch with 1 cup reserved syrup until smooth.
Cook at HIGH 2 minutes, stir once.
Add fruit and pour over chicken.
If necessary, reheat at HIGH 3 to 4 minutes.
