American Style Russian Charlotte
|Vanilla sponge cake/9 inch commercial sponge cake||1|
|Raspberry jam/Blueberry jam||3 Tablespoon|
|Grand marnier flavored light cream||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Fruit salad/Fresh fruit||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Chantilly cream||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
Slice spongecake into 2 equal layers.
Over first layer, spread jam, then a thin coat of light cream.
Cover with second spongecake.
Coat top and sides with light cream.
Trim off one end of ladyfingers.
Surround charlotte with upright cookies, rounded tip up.
Add another coat of light cream to top of charlotte.
Spread a layer of fruit salad or fresh fruit.
Pipe swirls of Chantilly cream over fruit.
Decorate with fresh fruit, if desired.
