Sloppy Joe Pocket Sandwiches
|Canned tomato sauce||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Onion||1 Small, chopped|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Tablespoon|
|Dry mustard||1 Teaspoon|
|Catsup||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped celery/Green pepper||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Pita bread rounds||2 (6 Inch)|
Combine ground beef, onion, and celery in a large skillet; cook until meat is browned.
Drain off pan drippings.
Add tomato sauce, catsup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and pepper; bring to a boil.
Cover sauce, reduce heat, and simmer 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cut pita bread rounds in half; line each pocket with lettuce leaves, if desired, and fill each half with meat sauce.
