Whole Wheat Popovers
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter||2 Tablespoon, melted|
|All purpose flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Whole wheat flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Position rack in lower third of oven.
Preheat oven to 450°F.
Grease 6 (6-ounce) custard cups.
Set custard cups in jelly-roll pan for easier handling.
Beat eggs in large bowl with electric mixer at low speed 1 minute.
Beat in milk and butter until blended.
Beat in flours and salt until batter is smooth.
Pour batter evenly into prepared custard cups.
Bake 20 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 350°F.
Bake 15 minutes more; quickly make small slit in top of each popover to let out steam.
Bake 5 to 10 minutes more or until browned.
Remove popovers from cups.
