Pecan Bananas Foster

  Bananas 3 Medium, peeled
  Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
  Pecans 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), halved
  Butter 3 Tablespoon
  Firmly packed brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Orange juice/Apple juice 2 Tablespoon
  Light rum 2 Tablespoon
  Vanilla ice cream 1 Cup (16 tbs) (adjust quantity as needed)

In 9-inch pie plate, slice bananas in half crosswise and then lengthwise.
Brush with lemon juice and sprinkle with pecans.
In 2-cup glass measure, combine butter, brown sugar, vanilla and orange or apple juice.
Microwave at HIGH (10) 1 minute.
Pour sauce over bananas.
Microwave at HIGH (10) 2 to 3 minutes until bananas are tender.
Add rum, if desired.
