Southern Fried Chicken With Dixie Gravy
|Poultry seasoning||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Skinned boned chicken breast||24 Ounce (About Four 6 Ounce Each)|
|Skim milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Imitation butter flavoring||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Instant chicken broth and seasoning mix||1⁄2 Tablespoon (1/2 Envelope)|
|Onion powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Roll toast into crumbs with rolling pin or whiz in blender; mix in parsley and poultry seasoning.
Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper.
Pour 1/2 cup of the skim milk into small bowl.
Completely immerse each piece of chicken in milk; then roll in crumb mixture, making sure to use up all the milk and crumbs.
Place chicken in non-stick baking pan.
Bake at 375Â° F. (moderate oven) for 30 minutes.
Lift out chicken.
Meanwhile prepare our Dixie "Gravy" by combining remaining 1/2 cup milk with butter flavoring, water, broth mix and onion powder.
Heat and serve with "fried" chicken.
