Simple Cherry Cobbler

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Milk 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  All purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Canned cherry pie filling 20 Ounce (1 No. 2 Can)
Directions

Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg; mix well.
Blend in milk.
Combine dry ingredients; add to butter mixture.
Spread half of batter in greased 8-inch-round container; cover with 1/4 can pie filling.
Spread with remaining batter; top with remaining filling.
Bake in 375 °F oven 30 minutes or until done.
