Everlasting Slaw

Ingredients
  Cabbage 1 Large, shredded
  Onion 1 Large, finely shredded
  Carrots 4 , shredded
  White vinegar 125 Milliliter (0.5 Cup)
  Brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (125 Milliliter)
  Salad oil 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (125 Milliliter)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon (5 Milliliter)
  Dry mustard 1 Teaspoon (5 Milliliter)
Directions

Combine cabbage, onion and carrot in a large bowl.
Mix vinegar, brown sugar, oil, salt and mustard in a saucepan and heat to boiling.
Cool.
Pour over cabbage mixture.
Let stand, stirring occasionally, for 8 hours.
Store in refrigerator in covered plastic or glass container.
