Amaretto Almond Sauce
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Almonds||2 Tablespoon, sliced|
|Almond extract||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Combine sugar and cornstarch in a small saucepan; stir in water.
Place over medium heat; bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Cook 2 minutes or until thickened, stirring constantly.
Stir in amaretto and lemon juice,- heat just until mixture comes to a boil.
Remove from heat; stir in almonds and extract.
