Chocolate Almond Crunch

Ingredients
  Flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cream of tartar 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Milk 3 Tablespoon
  Peeled almonds 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Soda bicarbonate 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ghee 100 Gram (clarified butter)
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vanilla essence 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cocoa 3 Teaspoon
Directions

GETTING READY
1 Preheat the oven to 350F.

MAKING
2 In a bowl, sift the flour, soda bicarbonate, cream of tartar, cocoa and salt.
3 In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar for 10 minutes.
4 Add in the milk and vanilla essence and beat again.
5 Mix in the dry sifted ingredients.
6 If the mixture is too soft, place in the refrigerator and chill.
7 Divide the dough into even sized small round balls.
8 Gently press them with the floured bottom of a glass.
9 Brush them with a little milk.
10 Sprinkle coarsely ground almonds over them.
11 Lightly press again with the bottom of a glass.
12 Place in a baking dish.
13 Bake in a moderately hot oven for 10 minutes.
14 Cool and store in an airtight tin.

SERVING
15 Serve as a tea time snack.
