Saute Of Sliced Pears And Almonds

Ingredients
  Bosc pears 4
  Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
  Oil 1 Teaspoon
  Orange juice 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Maple syrup 1 Tablespoon
  Orange rind 1 Teaspoon, grated
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground cinnamon 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground cloves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Toasted sliced almonds 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Peel and core the pears.
Cut into thin lengthwise slices.
Place in a large bowl and toss with the lemon juice.
In a large no-stick frying pan over medium-high heat, saute the pears in the oil for 2 minutes.
Cover and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes, or until just tender.
Remove with a slotted spoon and divide among 4 dessert dishes.
To the pan, add the orange juice, maple syrup, orange rind, vanilla, cinnamon and cloves.
Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until syrupy.
Spoon over the pears.
Sprinkle with the almonds.
