|Ground almonds||2 Ounce (50 Gram)|
|Plain flour||6 Ounce (175 Gram)|
|Icing sugar||6 Ounce, sifted (100 Gram)|
|Flaked almonds||2 Ounce (50 Gram)|
Cream the butter and margarine and sugar together, then add the egg yolk and beat well.
Add the ground almonds and flour and mix well.
Knead lightly and roll out thinly.
Cut into rounds using a 6 cm / 2 1/2 inch plain cutter and place on a greased baking tray.
For the topping, mix the icing sugar with the egg white, then add the flaked almonds and stir well.
Spoon over the biscuits and bake in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Cool on a baking tray.
