Ground Almond Dessert
|Vanaspati||2 Tablespoon (Vegetable Ghee)|
|Chapati flour||1 Tablespoon (Atta)|
|Ground almonds||10 Tablespoon|
|Milk||1 1⁄4 Pint (750 Milliliter)|
1. Heat the vegetable ghee in a haandi or a heavy-based saucepan. Add the flour and stir continuously with a large whisk to prevent any lumps forming.
2. Still stirring, add the ground almonds, about 2 tablespoonfuls at a time. Lower the heat slightly to prevent burning and continue to stir until the almonds colour a little.
3. Remove the pan from the heat and gradually stir in the milk, stirring continuously. Return the pan to a moderate heat and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring almost constantly with a whisk.
4. Taste the dessert to see how sweet it is and stir in the sugar according to taste, then cook until it has thickened to the consistency of a thick cream soup. Serve hot in small bowls.
