Rub butter into sieved flour and cornflour.
Work in sugar and ground almonds.
Roll out thinly on a floured board.
Cut into rounds and bake for 12-15 minutes in centre of moderate oven (375° F.€”Gas Mark 4).
When cold, coat with almond flavoured icing if wished and pipe lines of coffee icing.
