Frozen Ginger Ale Salad

Ingredients
  Plain unflavored gelatin 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Orange juice 2 Tablespoon
  Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
  Granulated sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Pale dry ginger ale 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Drained canned crushed pineapple 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Diced canned pears 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Halved strawberries 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Mayonnaise/Salad dressing 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Cream 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), whipped (Light Or Heavy)
  Lettuce 4
Directions

Soak gelatin in orange juice 5 min.
Add lemon juice.
Then place over boiling water, and stir until gelatin is dissolved.
Add sugar and ginger ale, and stir until sugar is dissolved.
Add fruits, and mix thoroughly.
Chill until mixture is slightly thickened.
Then fold in mayonnaise and whipped cream.
If light cream is used, whip as in Whipped Light Cream, Method I, Pour mixture into small freezing tray of automatic refrigerator, and freeze, with temperature control at coldest setting until mixture is firm.
Cut in 6 squares.
Serve on lettuce.
