|Green ginger||125 Gram|
|Sugar||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Water||625 Milliliter (2.5 Bottle)|
|Lemons||16 , juiced|
Peel the ginger and grind it to a paste.
Strain the lemon juice.
Mix one bottle of water, ginger paste and peppercorns.
Bring to the boil, and simmer for two or three minutes.
Cool and strain the liquid through a muslin.
Add the ginger and pepper left in the muslin to the second bottle of water and boil.
Simmer for a few minutes before removing from the fire. (Boiling the ginger twice gives a richer flavor).
Dissolve the sugar in hall a bottle of water over a low fire, without bringing it to the boil.
Cool, and strain it into the ginger juice.
Add lemon juice.
This drink is an excellent palliative for sore throats.
It will keep a week; in a refrigerator, it will keep for four to five weeks.
