Apple cider is one of the best things about Fall but loaded with sugar, it’s not exactly the best for you. Here’s my version that will build up your immune system, keep you warm and satisfy your apple craving! I always keep a piece of ginger in my freezer so I can grate it into teas, soups or stir fry dishes when the weather changes. It adds a kick of spice but also helps with nausea and colds.
2 Cup (32 tbs)
Apple cider vinegar
1 Teaspoon, grated
1 , thinly sliced
1 (keep the peel on)
1. In a large pot combine all the ingredients and simmer on medium-high heat for 15 minutes.
2. Taste and adjust the sweetness by adding some more honey.
3. Pour into a glass and serve garnished with a cinnamon stick.
If you prefer your cider sweeter, then you can replace water with pure apple juice.
