Holiday Mulled Cider

  Whole cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Water 2 Quart
  Tea/30 tea bags 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Apple cider/Apple juice 2 Quart
  Lemon juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Red apples 4
  Whole cloves 8
  Cinnamon 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Sugar syrup 1 Tablespoon

Add cloves and cinnamon stick to water.
Bring to a boil.
Add tea.
Cover and brew for about 4 minutes.
Stir and strain.
Add sugar and stir.
Add apple cider and lemon juice.
Peel and core apples, but leave whole.
Stick 2 cloves into each apple.
Add cinnamon hearts to Thin Sugar Syrup.
Poach apples in Thin Sugar Syrup.
Pour mulled cider into serving bowl and add apples.
Serve hot.
