Holiday Mulled Cider
|Whole cloves||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Tea/30 tea bags||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Apple cider/Apple juice||2 Quart|
|Lemon juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cinnamon||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sugar syrup||1 Tablespoon|
Add cloves and cinnamon stick to water.
Bring to a boil.
Cover and brew for about 4 minutes.
Stir and strain.
Add sugar and stir.
Add apple cider and lemon juice.
Peel and core apples, but leave whole.
Stick 2 cloves into each apple.
Add cinnamon hearts to Thin Sugar Syrup.
Poach apples in Thin Sugar Syrup.
Pour mulled cider into serving bowl and add apples.
